TREATMENT EXPECTATIONS

We all want to feel better “right now”, but it often took time to get where we are and it’ll take time and patience to create our future selves. Your treatment plan may be a single session or months of consistent stimulation for a complete overhaul. There might be “homework”! Expect to engage all of your senses through movement, tastes, aromatherapy, sound and breath practices

WHAT TO EXPECT
Intake:
Chinese medicine intake is similar to western medicine but we have our own nuanced questions as they relate to lifestyle and emotions. We will sleuth out the goal of your visit as well as share with you the expectations and frequency of your treatments as well as provide any homework for you between treatments.

Treatment:
Following the intake, or re-assessment the acupuncture points are placed and retained from 20-40 minutes. This is when the “magic” happens. We allow the body to rest and integrate with the points to create the desired effect. If any further techniques such as cupping or tui na are needed to enhance the treatment they will be used at this time. Dietary, mindful practices or movement therapies may be recommended to support your care between sessions. This is your homework. How many treatments will I need?: The amount of treatments needed will be determined by the time and
severity of your symptoms. It is not uncommon to have 1-2 treatments per week for at least a month, followed by maintenance treatments as deemed necessary. Do you take insurance?: No. As a solo provider the work load required to stay up to date on various insurance plans, forms and submissions is not conducive to providing quality clinical care. Please ask for a receipt to turn into your plan. HSA cards however are always accepted!
